Accessibility

I want everyone to be able to shop Crafty Chica, browse the art, and grab a little color for their day, no matter how they get around the web. That includes people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive tools.

What I'm doing

This store aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. In October 2026 the site was reviewed against those guidelines, and the issues found were fixed, including:

• Darker text and button colors so everything is easier to read
• Underlined links so they don't rely on color alone
• Text labels on images and links so screen readers can announce them
• A clear heading structure on every page

The site also has a "Skip to content" link, works with a keyboard alone, and lets you pause the slideshow.

Known limitations

• Checkout is run by Shopify, so its accessibility is handled on their end.
• Some product photos have short descriptions that I'm working to make more detailed.
• Content from other services, like embedded videos and social feeds, may not meet every guideline.
